Designed and woven especially for my friend Jan and her husband.  They get a LOT of mail and packages, but didn’t want an ordinary mailbox, so we came up with this idea of a modified pack basket…

You don't have to use it for mail!  This basket would be a great addition to a fireplace and woodstove, to hold small logs and kindling... It makes a nice place for throws and pillows... make all those children's toys disappear (almost) when unexpected company comes. 

You can change out the overlays with dyed reed, ribbon or even cardstock paper to match an event or holiday.
