Sewing Baskets!!!

AHM Baskets offers a variety of sewing baskets, one is sure to suit your needs. You will find country sewing baskets, native american style sewing baskets, and a nantucket sewing basket. Five baskets feature a lid to protect the contents, a filled or solid bottom so that none of the small items fall through the basket, and some have decorative curls that are dyed or natural. The finishes that are available are: light oak, driftwood, lemon oil, lacquer (mostly for the nantucket) and natural. These finishes are applied over the basket even if there is color in the weavers, uprights, and curls. The over dyes are applied when a more antique look is desired. When you place your order, and you have an color option, in the comments section of the order form, let me know what color you would like to have added to your basket.

Jill's Sewing Basket


Jill's Sewing Basket
 One of the most popular sewing that we carry. It is a native american design style woven on a 12" x 16" swing "D" handle. The body of the basket is 12" diameter x 12" high (with lid) natural and dyed flat reed. Your choice of colors. SPECIAL FEATURE: under the lid is a tray that sits on the inner rim of the basket body. Perfect to hold the small items, like needles, threads, and scissors. The basket also has an optional tulip design, which is quite different. Queen Victoria's Sewing Basket
 A medium size, 8" square x 6" high basket with a flat lid, flat reed weavers, and dyed reed pieces overlayed randomly around the side. The lid is twined with round reed, as is the loop handle.  Another native american design style that is 6-1/2" x 9-1/2" x 6" high with flat lid. Woven with flat reed and features thin strips of ash used to form the curls.
